Captain Commander

I got a phonecall exactly 1 week ago from my brother, asking me for a giant favor. He needed a piece of art in 1 week.

SO! After some careful consideration and discussion, I decided that juxtapose my mid-terms of Uni, I felt comfortable taking on this out-of-the-blue commission as a favor, without disrupting my commissions-during-spring-break plans.

Anyway, this is a likeness piece, which apparently, I did a pretty damn good job on getting the guy down

"They" wanted the piece in a very heroic stance, and to let it go as 'cheesecake' as possible. Originally, we even thought of having him in a superhero version of the Marine Blues whilst 'flying towards the camera ala Superman,' but at the last minute decided on this.

Obviously, I made the shirt, and BDU bottoms much tighter than normal to give it that 'spandexy' but not SUPER tight feel. They wanted the BG (minimal) and to have an AAV (Amphibious Assault Vehicle).

I didn't make the dude's name up. His REAL last name is actually COMMANDER. And he is in the marines. I was on the phone with my bro at first going, "I think Captain Commander is TOO cheesecake, can't we come up with something else more dynamic?"

And he says to me, "No, that's his REAL name."

Which makes it that much more uber.
